Cheerz: A Pink "Hush"

A Pink is coming back in April, and I could not be more excited.

Well, unless they were coming to my house or something

The Best of the Worst: March 27

Best of the Worst mascot Lee Jong Suk is in hot water this week.

It's Bora flavored.

The actor has been accused of being rude while a fan tried to give him a gift at the airport.

We at Best of the Worst take these allegations seriously and have put Lee Jong Suk on paid administrative leave while we look into the incident. In the meantime, we've asked Jaejoong to fill in as interim BotW mascot.

Everything's coming up Jaejoong.

I Spy: A Bunch of Shit That Doesn't Make Sense 6

It's been too long, friends. Way too long. But finally, it's again time to play "I Spy: A Bunch of Shit That Doesn't Make Sense."

This installment features Lee Seung Hwan's latest song, "I'm Only Into You," which stars Beast's Junhyung playing the cutest Internet troll the world has ever known. The video made me sugar crash about five minutes after viewing. Don't say I didn't warn you.

So put on your shit-spotting eyewear, and let's begin.

Don't worry if it's prescription. We won't judge you.

well apparently boram has the biggest and most mishapen tits in t-ara (NSFW/Life)

Color me surprised.

Cheerz: Fiestar "I Don't Know"

I know we just had a Fiestar Cheerz at the end of last month, but the group was still whole then. Had I known Cheska was going to jump ship, I would have waited.

Fiestar, now a little less Fiesty

The Best of the Worst: March 20

Bad concepts run rampant in kpop. There's boy groups in pastel pants, and girl groups wearing what could only be described as diapers. Even the most successful artists aren't immune, like the princess Lee Hyori, who this week took us back to the dark days of 2010 kpop with this look:

Accusations that SM is evading millions of dollars of taxes

The website is reporting that SM has been evading a shit load of taxes through creative loopholes such as creating a singer named "SM Entertainment" in Hong Kong and funneling money through that, among other stuff. Apparently this isn't the first time such accusations have been made against the company such as in 2003 but nothing really came of it. The 19th Seoul Regional Tax Authority and the IRS have been investigating SM for a while now and have discovered that over 30 SM employees have been evading taxes worth a couple USD millions of won.

There are rampant rumors regarding the SM Annual General Meeting being held today/tomorrow (3/21). It does seem convenient these rumors would show up now of all times.

At any rate we can only speculate what effect this will have on the Suju M comeback.

The list

We all have our kpop lists. Groups we love. Groups for which we love the members but not the songs (or vice-versa). Groups we'd like to ship to some uninhabited island that's not yet named. Well, I've been thinking a lot about one of my lists lately. It's my Groups I Want to Like But Just Can't.

Review: 4Minute "Whatcha Doin' Today?"

What are you? My mom? Stop asking me so many questions, 4Minute.

Soooo glad Hyuna's not my mom. For so many reasons.

[Warning: This post contains lots of big pictures and at least one very bright, fast gif*.]

Cheerz: Orange Caramel "Bangkok City"

Since it's Orange Caramel Appreciation Week (in case you didn't know), let's look back at one of the group's earlier releases.

The Best of the Worst: March 13

This week, kpopdom was full of shame and embarrassing behavior. We have a country with drama envy, a messy drunk, and Jackie Chan's boy group preparing for debut:

Mmmm, so unnecessary

The Best of the Worst: March 6

This week, we have idols dissing idols, idols hitting idols, and another stupid mini-controversy spurred by jealous netizens. So really, it was just another typical week in kpopdom.

Nobody told me it was ladies night. I would have done my hair.

K-Girls: Korea's sexiest charity organization

Well at least she isn't CL.
K-Girls, that group composed up former Miss Korea pageant contestants released their second single today, "Not Bad". Having largely flown under the radar this release can be excused from being noticed in light of comebacks from SNSD and 2NE1.

It's time for another intervention

(This was originally titled "Why Jeremy Scott is detrimental to youths 'round the world and needs to be stopped," but that was a mouthful.)

About a year ago, I lobbied kpop fans everywhere to stage an intervention for F.T. Island's Lee Hong Ki when he was hitting the nail art pretty hard. Now, it's time to step in and stop another group of idols stuck in a pattern of abuse. Watching one of 2ne1's latest videos, "Happy," made me come to a realization: 2ne1 is too often under the influence — under the influence of Jeremy Scott.
